Maxwell's is one of our favorite local restaurant and bar, about 300m off the main road in the middle of Surfside Estates. The location is perfect for locals and well worth checking out if you are in the area. Once you find it we're sure you'll be back.
The menu changes frequently, but standards are their renouned mouth watering burgers and Mexican tacos. There is usually a fish special which varies with the season and there is a good selection of fresh salads available.
Mike and Kelly were owners of a top rated breakfast restaurant back in Venice Beach, California before moving here a few years ago for the fishing and laid back surroundings of Potrero. They have happy hour nightly and feature live music weekly during the high season. It's a great place to meet the local expats and shoot a game of pool.
