Costa Rica has much to offer in the variety of foods available. Typical local lunch and dinners include gallo pinto (seasoned rice and beans), salad or cole slaw, and choice of beef, pork, chicken, or fish.

The meats from local farms are some of the best found anywhere in the world.

Costa Rica also has a great assortment of fresh caught fish and seafood especially here along the coast. Catch of the day varies throughout the seasons, but typically you will find snapper, tuna, dorado (mahi mahi), sea bass, scallops and lobster. It's all here.
