At the airport you can hire a taxi to take you to almost any destination in Costa Rica. It shouldn't need to be said but, you should preset the price prior to setting off on your journey. Some drivers have set fairs and others are negotiable. You can also arrange to have a driver to take you and your group on daily tours. This is an excellent way to see the country and the sites you want to see. Taxi's can be identified by the yellow triangle on the side, but you will also find vans and local drivers who providing transportation services locally. In the cities it is recommended you stick with official taxi companies.
